Anthony Ogogo
Growing up, Anthony’s real passion was boxing which he excelled in at both junior and senior level, winning 10 national titles. He became Junior Olympic Champion in 2004, Junior World Champion in 2005, & won medals at European championships.
Anthony boxed for England over 150 times and won a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games before going on to win a bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
After the Olympics in 2012, Anthony turned professional with LA based boxing organisation Golden Boy Promotions, the biggest boxing promotion in the world, spearheaded by legendary 10 x world boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya.
After a perfect straight 11 wins from 11 fights Anthony suffered a fractured eye socket. He would go on to have 9 surgeries on his eye but unfortunately was forced to retire from boxing in April 2019.
During his boxing career, Anthony was privileged enough to undertake some high-profile opportunities. He has appeared on many TV shows including Strictly Come Dancing, Splash!, and countless appearances on A Question of Sport. He’s also paperless on lots of TV shows for charity including Mastermind, The Apprentice, Pointless, & The Chase amongst many others. He has also worked in boxing presenting, commentating and punditry for the BBC, Sky Sports, BT Sport and Boxnation.
Since retiring from boxing Anthony has joined one of the largest wrestling companies in the world All Elite Wrestling firstly as a commentator and as a wrestler. Anthony is looking forward to spending the rest of his working life embarking on his next challenge - acting. He is determined to give acting the same determination and drive that he did at winning an Olympic medal and all the aspects he has in his career so far.
