Darren Clewlow-Smith

Darren Clewlow- Smith, originally from Stoke-on-Trent, graduated from The Birmingham School Of Speech Training & Dramatic Art.

He featured as Milos in the popular TV series Heartbeat (ITV) & other TV work includes The Bill (ITV), Crossroads (Central), Albion Market (Granada), The Chronicles of Narnia (BBC), Brookside (C4) Howards Way (BBC), Grange Hill (BBC), & Crimewatch (BBC). He's also been on Pebble Mill & Blue Peter. Darren has appeared in several TV commercials, the most recent being the Fisherman in the Alibaba TV Advertisement campaign. 

His Theatre credits include Narrator in Dracula (Water Rats London) ,Jimmy Porter in Look Back in Anger (MAC Arts Centre Birmingham), Amiens in As You Like it (Minack Theatre Cornwall and National Trust tour), Edmund in King Lear (Cusson Studio - Leatherhead Thorndike ), Reuben, Issachar & Narrator in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Three National Tours & London), William of Cloudsley & Alan A 'Dale in the Original London Cast & soundtrack of Robin Prince of Sherwood (Piccadilly Theatre London), two national tours of Robin and Christmas residencies at (Liverpool Playhouse Theatre) & (Liverpool Empire Theatre), Narrator in The Glen Miller Story (No 1 UK Tour), Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Shakespeare in The Park, Stoke), Joe Carpenter in The Tart & The Vicar's Wife ( Theatre Royal, Lincoln ), Ferdie Fleece in The Phantom of the P'Opera (Theatre Royal, Lincoln) & (Forum ,Billingham) & various pantomimes in theatres such as Palace Theatre , Newark, Connaught Theatre, Worthing and Marina Theatre, Lowestoft.

Darren was nominated for UK Villain of the year at the 2022 National Panto awards for his portrayal of Captain Hook in Peter Pan at The Bridlington Spa Theatre and also recently played Fleshcreep in Jack and the Beanstalk at The Worthing Pavilion Theatre.

His Film work includes Malcolm in Burning Midnight and Vanderberg in Wall on the Fly.
