Gene Foad

On leaving Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Gene embarked on extensive theatre tours throughout England playing the juvenile lead in both Shakespearean and contemporary productions. He then won the role of young Charles Dickens in the BBC's highly acclaimed Dickens of London which led to further high-profile television productions including, Penmarric, To Serve Them all our Days, Love of a Good Man, Brookside and The Bill. His debut feature was in the now classic cult horror The Lake opposite Julie Peasgood.

Gene ran, directed and appeared in his own successful theatre company for over a decade, specialising in Shakespeare, and toured his productions abroad.

His voice can be heard on over 150 talking books for the RNIB ranging from Paddington Bear to Dostoyevsky.

He has just completed filming a short horror It Grew by Day and Night, which is currently in post-production.
