Julian B. Evans

Ben (Julian) is a member of the Cambridgeshire based Lantern Dance Theatre Company, run by classical ballet teacher, Helen Pettit. Ben has performed with the company in the Czech Republic, annually in the company’s Spiritus production in Ely Cathedral and various other events around the East of England. Ben continues to join in company sessions every Wednesday evening.

As Ben progressed it became clear that dancing was his major forte and he continues to progress in this field. Ben is a member of Bedazzle inclusive Theatre and was a part of their Edinburgh fringe production of I’m Non-Typical, Typical. The show received spectacular reviews and Ben was personally mentioned. The production has been developed into a short film, in which Ben is featured as a dancer. He also went on to perform with BiT at The Junction, Cambridge and has performed in shows at the West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge.

As a final twist, there is already a Ben Evans in Spotlight so Ben had to find another name. We came up with Julian B Evans after his Mum, Julia, who was also an original member of Lantern, and who loved and excelled in dance and many other forms of art. It is because of her guidance and encouragement that Ben continues to take giant steps towards achieving his full potential .
