Tony Bailey

Tony is known for playing PC Stan in Danny Boyle's police action drama BABYLON, a role he really enjoyed as Tony has spent over a decade policing the streets of the UK. During his time policing, Tony received a commendation for bravery and the Queens Jubilee medal for service.

Tony studied at the Silvia Young theatre school and the Anne Scher drama school, which opened doors to various opportunities within the industry.  His passion for performance started at 10yrs old after becoming a chess champion in Hertfordshire. His teacher told him that he handled the pressure well, and was then asked to lead the school dance display.

During secondary school my drama teacher's advice was “If you learn the real job, you won't have to act that job, it will be second nature”. Tony took this information onboard literally and has been called upon many times for police roles (including arrests/driving) and action in dramas such as EASTENDERS, SILENT WITNESS and SHERLOCK.
